This is a good read. The author shares his life story from working as a charter boat captain to being a world renowned eye surgeon. Along the way, he found time for medical missions to many countries, including several African countries and North Korea. Get the book and find out how he escaped being shot and kidnapped. As a person living with vision problems all my life, his service to those in need touched my heart. Can you imagine how wonderful it would be to see again after dealing with blindness? The most impressive part to me was that he was willing to teach doctors in the countries he visited so that more people could be blessed with his knowledge. And he made lasting friendships along the way. Loved this book!
